E-mail Notifications

Jumpchart sends e-mail notifications to the collaborators of the project you’re working on for a few different occasions:

  • When you comment on a page;
  • When you leave, or respond to a note;
  • When you upload a new design mockup;
  • When you approve or un-approve a design mockup;
  • When you comment on a design mockup.

Since we know e-mail can be a bit annoying, we allow every user to disable their e-mail notifications and just keep track of progress through the RSS feed. This means they won’t get any notifications under any circumstance.

In each case above, the e-mail notification is optional; you can choose to send them by clicking the Notify Team Members checkbox, and then selecting the relevant recipients.

It lets you pinpoint who should receive a note about whatever you’re doing, meaning you can target specific people who matter in that specific conversation. Jumpchart is also smart enough to remember your recent choices in each situation. So, for example, if you always notify your project manager when commenting on a mockup, Jumpchart will remember that. If you always notify the client when commenting on page content, it will remember that as well.
